The Fourth Bore - Taproom and Grill is an American brew pub designed by Michael Karp and J.J. Phair. Located in the vibrant Orinda Theatre Square, The Fourth Bore features 28 rotating taps, high quality food, artisan cocktails and 8 large TV's to watch sports and other events. Conveniently located 100 yards from Orinda BART, The Fourth Bore additionally offers outdoor seating with heaters and fire pits, an event deck, catering services and a variety of beer/food related programs.
Michael Karp - Owner/Operator
Michael Karp has over 25 years of experience in the restaurant and event industries in Los Angles, Phoenix, New Orleans and Northern California. A Boston native and Tulane graduate, Michael's impressive list of employers include AEG Worldwide, Live Nation, Wolfgang Puck, Toby Keith, Houston's Restaurants, Alice Cooper and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Drawing on his extensive experience, Michael subsequently opened his own restaurants. Michael owns Table 24 in Orinda as well as three Forge Pizza locations in Oakland, Danville and Napa which opened in June 2016. The Fourth Bore (T4B) was conceptualized and driven by Michael's love for good food & craft beer.
JJ Phair - Brewmaster
In 2000 JJ Phair opened a warehouse microbrewery bearing his grandfather’s name in the San Francisco East Bay town of Concord, Ca and has since opened two brewpubs in Concord, Ca and Pittsburgh, Ca. In addition to his commitment to his brewery and restaurants, this former NFL kicker is also an avid wood craftsman and outdoor enthusiast. JJ designed much of the T4B interior and will be overseeing T4B's craft beer program.
Ulises Santiago
Chef Santiago started cooking at a young age after coming to the United States as teenager. Chef Ulises inspires his team of cooks by leading by example and creating a fresh exciting atmosphere in the kitchen.
